Sealed Air Corporation introduced CRYOVAC ZeroPrep hand-dispensing pouches for restaurant condiments and sauces on September 22, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The pre-filled flexible format is designed to replace squeeze bottles and other rigid containers used in food service kitchens, removing the need for bottle preparation and cleaning.
Each handheld pouch features an easy-open seal and a semi-rigid spout. Users dispense the contents by squeezing the pouch, while the spout reseals when not in use to prevent drips. The format opens without tools and allows one-handed operation.
The pouches are hermetically sealed until first opening. By eliminating transfers into bottles or other secondary containers, the packaging helps reduce opportunities for contamination, according to Sealed Air. The company also says the format supports condiment freshness and flavour consistency during service.
Sealed Air reports product yield of up to 97%, which it says can help food service operators reduce food waste. The pre-filled format also simplifies condiment storage and delivery within kitchen operations. The pouches are formed on the new CRYOVAC ZeroPrep vertical form-fill-seal system. The machine combines two specialised CRYOVAC films to produce the patented pouch shape, easy-open seal, semi-rigid spout and hermetic seals.
The equipment produces package sizes ranging from 8 to 16 fluid ounces at speeds of up to 80 packs per minute. The system brings pouch forming, filling and sealing together for production of the dispensing format. Joe Lambert, Sealed Air’s North America vice president of food, said ZeroPrep removes “the tedious task of squeeze bottle prep and cleaning”.
The introduction expands Sealed Air’s food and beverage packaging portfolio, alongside its CRYOVAC food packaging and Liquibox liquid systems, with a pouch designed specifically for direct, handheld condiment dispensing.
